When Andreessen Horowitz (A16Z), the venture capital firm behind companies like Instagram, Airbnb, and Roblox, prepared to move into their new Santa Monica office—a designated historic landmark—they partnered with Studio Other to craft a cohesive furniture experience. In collaboration with Blitz, we designed 48 bespoke workstations and 10 conference tables that captured their desire for a warm, residential atmosphere. Our approach emphasized seamless functionality and hidden tech, combining multi-ply surfaces, laminate detailing, and powder-coated steel components to keep the environment clean and uncluttered. Branded workstation screens added a subtle identity touch that balanced the modern furniture with the timeless architecture.
